John Stennis

John has been a local architect here in Jackson since 2006 and is currently a Senior Associate at GYDE Architects. His work includes the Teton County Library Addition and Renovation, several local restaurants, and affordable housing projects.

He currently serves on Jackson Hole Land Trust’s Open Space Council, was a longtime member of the Jackson Planning and Zoning Commission, and had an integral part in the 2021 Jackson/Teton County Comprehensive Plan.

John brings a unique perspective to planning and continues to be thoughtfully engaged with community issues centered around zoning and building.

He lives in Alpine with his partner Matt and their dog Winnie, enjoying the Greys River area, boating on the Palisades Reservoir and painting in his spare time.
